This vanilla mango smoothie is high in vitamins and minerals that will help you boost your immune system and help your digestion! Bonus points: it’s absolutely delicious.

I go in phases when it comes to smoothies. There are weeks (even months!) that I enjoy a smoothie every single day and then I’ll go for months without eating any smoothies. I love them in the summer because they’re cool and refreshing but I also love them when it’s cool and gloomy out and I need a little sunshine in my life! This vanilla mango smoothie is perfect for year round – the mango is bright and refreshing while the vanilla makes it feel like a cozy, comforting meal. Enjoy!

Here’s What You Need:

  • mango
  • banana
  • unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • vanilla extract
  • vanilla protein powder – optional but I recommend adding protein powder to keep you fuller longer.

Fresh or Frozen Mango

I used frozen mango for this smoothie for two reasons: it makes the smoothie icy cold and it’s easy to keep frozen mango on hand! Having said that, you can absolutely use fresh mango if you have that on hand or it’s in season and you want to use fresh. I personally think fresh mango is much more flavorful so it makes this smoothie extra delicious!

Health Benefits of Mango

Mangos are packed with vitamins and minerals – especially vitamin C which helps boost immunity. It also has a ton of antioxidants and digestive enzymes. So if you have digestive issues or feel a cold coming on, this is a a great smoothie to add into the rotation.

  1. I agree with you, there is no place like home. When I go home at the end of the year from work, I make sure that I spend quality time with my family. Pinterest is very useful tool specially for inspiration. Haha And honestly I really love your images, very clear and enticing.

Your recipe is mouth watering. Thanks for sharing.

  2. It was eighty three degrees here yesterday, so I am not grabbing a sweater or a pumpkin anything, anytime soon. In fact, I think all these fall maniacs and Pinteresters need to be corralled together and force fed all the pumpkin things with a steaming mug of Pumpkin Spiced Latter while wearing chunky sweaters and knee high boots, outside in the eighty three degree weather. Ha, take that fall lovers! Viva la revolution.

Alright now where was I? Ah yes, your smoothie. You go ahead and post as many summertime smoothie recipes as your little heart desires. I will happily lap this up, while wearing my cute and colorful shorts and basking in the last rays of summer. “Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.” There I go quoting Dylan Thomas again. Clearly I’ve got issues.

  3. I use Pinterest as a bookmarking tool, which is really, really weird. Or normal. But I used to fall down the “browsing pins” blackhole but now I’m just over that. Was this the same Saturday night I came home from drinking and we skyped until like 12:30??

  4. I pin ALL the freakin’ things (like, I have thousands on my food board), but I have made maybe 5 things from it. Gotta work on it…for the rest of my life and afterlife.
Smoothies are always welcome for me! I’m not ready to let go of mangoes and peaches quite yet. Even though I already have ever since coming to college 😉

  5. Not only is pumpkin everywhere already, I saw CHRISTMAS flavors in the grocery store in mid-August!! I legit threw a fit in the middle of the store about how commercialization ruins everything because we don’t appreciate special seasonal things when they don’t stay in their season. John agrees, so we have a “no pumpkin until October” ban going in our house. Did I tell you this already? If so I’m sorry, but really, I feel like everyone should get on board.

  6. They are starting to sell gingerbread in the supermarkets… In August!! That’s insane. They can’t even wait for October anymore. I hate that. The world gets so confused!

  7. The new graphic idea with the ingredients is great!! Way to boost up the blog with that. I am SO READY FOR FALL, BUT Starbucks released the PSL WAYYY too early, AND I am still all over smoothies. In fact I like them better when it’s cold!

  8. I’m definitely still holding on to summer, but will gladly welcome scarves and boots when fall arrives 🙂
I love love love love mango and have yet to make a mango smoothie this summer. It’s gotta happen asap!
    And I’m a hopeless pinterest addict…

  9. Girl I’m with you – I’m still holding onto summer! I know we are going to have an excessively long cold season to enjoy foods like pumpkin and squash so I’m holding off on buying them. I’d rather get the most out of tomatoes and peaches before I have to resort to buying the flavourless imported ones!

PS. Wish I’d read this post earlier in the day. I could have used this refreshing smoothie after I lost a bucket’s worth of sweat biking 15 minutes to/from the market!
