Mexican flavors meet espresso in this sweet and smooth Iced Horchata Latte. Made with brown rice, almonds, cinnamon and Nespresso this drink recipe will be the most refreshing start to your day all summer long! You know the only better than coffee? FREE COFFEE.

I mean these days I’ll admit that I rarely pay for coffee thanks to a never-ending supply from Nespresso (I know, I know SO grateful!), but I will jump at any opportunity to get some free brew.

Let’s just say I was a nightmare to my previous employer when they installed a Nespresso machine…

That’s probably because I do.

When Nespresso’s newest lungo grand cru, Envivo Lungo, arrived at my door I could tell I had stirred up a bit of jealousy amongst my building management. I appear to be a coffee hoarder. Likely because I am a coffee hoarder.

So clearly I have some making up to do.

Made with brown rice, almonds, cinnamon and Nespresso this drink recipe will be the most refreshing start to your day all summer long!Fortunately, Nespresso is far more generous than I am and is offering up FREE COFFEE to my Toronto peeps as part of Taste of Toronto. Starting this Thursday June 23 until Sunday June 26th the Nespresso Booth will be serving up their newest Envivo Lungo from 12:00-4:00 PM and Arpeggio Decaffeinato from 6:00-10:00 PM. Oh and free canapes too! Can I get a hellllll yeah?!

But I didn’t want those of you not in Toronto to feel left out. So I made you this Iced Horchata Latte mix, which I proceeded to down in 2 days (remember that coffee problem I had?). It’s a vegan horchata too!

I can’t promise you free coffee, but I can promise you an incredible iced latte that tastes like heaven in a cup. Forgive me?

  1. Ah, I had horchata when I was working in Guatemala (two and a half years ago!) and it was nothing short of delicious. I’d actually completely forgotten about it until I was browsing your recipes. I am absolutely going to have to try making this! Super excited!

  2. This is too good! So jealous of your free coffee supply. I just turned down some (for good reason) and Drew was like “WHAT WERE YOU THINKING”. Ha.

  3. Confession: I have never had horchata. But this recipe has me very intrigued – I will definitely have to give it a try! I’m coming off of a six month “no coffee kick” and am jumping back into coffee consumption like I never left. Also, my coffee pot is on its last leg, and I’m thinking a Nespresso machine is calling my name.

    1. Omg your life will never be the same…I’m in LOVE with mine! Though I should add that it will make giving up coffee extremely tough haha!

  4. This looks so delicious! Look forward to some more coffee based recipes in the future, pretty please!

  5. i have tried horchata once and really loved it..this one in the form of latte sounds even better.

    1. horchata on its own is amazing…but with coffee it is seriously life-changing! The ultimate combo!

  6. I’m sitting here drinking a plain jane cup of Joe, wishing it has a little horchata infusion. Loving this brilliant, flavor blasted latte! Perfect for an every-day treat!

    1. Wish I could give you some! I need an IV drip of this drink…It’s a killer combo!

  7. Definitely can’t turn down free coffee. Or cookies. It’s basically a crime, right?
