I’ve been revamping some of my favorite recipes from back in the day because I realized I have so many delicious recipes that likely don’t get the time of day because the pictures aren’t too pretty. No shame in eating with your eyes! We all do it.

I recently remade one of my favorite dessert recipes: Raw Oreo Cookies. They blew my mind that they could be gluten-free and vegan but still unbelievably delicious. But what’s better than homemade Oreo cookies? Cookies and cream “ice cream” made with homemade Oreo cookies.

Banana Soft Serve

This frozen treat has so many names for it… banana soft serve, banana ice cream, n’ice cream… the list probably goes on. Here’s the deal: it’s dairy-free and vegan yet creamy and so refreshing! Here’s what you need:

  • Frozen bananas
  • Unsweetened almond milk

Yep, that’s it! 2-ingredient ice cream! Let your bananas ripen before peeling and freezing them. I personally like to slice prior to freezing so they blend up quicker. Make sure the bananas are completely frozen (I usually freeze mine overnight) and then blend with almond milk in a high powered blender or food processor.

Cookies ‘n’ Cream

You can enjoy banana ice cream on it’s own or you can mix in countless flavors to take this frozen dessert to the next level. I am an Oreo lover so naturally I made a healthy version and mixed them into banana ice cream for my version of cookies and cream ice cream. Simply chop up the cookies and mix into the ice cream after the bananas have been blended together.

  1. Looks yummy. Keep blogging about these yummy and yet healthy treats. When I was just starting my journey to stay physically fit and healthy, these kind of treats are my salvation. Please share more of these posts.

  2. I like the valuable information you provide in your articles.
I’ll bookmark your blog and check again here regularly.
I’m quite sure I’ll learn a lot of new stuff right here!
Best of luck for the next!

  3. I lose far more time than I care to admit strolling down my own memory lane. Some of those very old and first posts make me cringe too although in part I was still finding my voice.

It’s funny that I even categorize myself as a healthy living blog since I never really give out specific eating advice (be gluten free, vegetarian, paleo etc) and I never give out specific fitness advice (aside from move your body from time to time). I am not an expert in either so for me it’s more of a live by example and be a real person kind of thing.

  4. When you posted the Oreo’s on IG I about shat myself. The look so freaking good. Oreo’s are dangerous for me, because they are actually vegan. I cannot buy a package because I will eat them ALL. I must make ALL OF THIS.

  5. Old posts are the perfect mixture of cringing, laughing and WTF? moments. 🙂

This looks awesome! I am all about banana soft serve lately and with cookies added? Sign me up!

  6. This looks really good!! I love banana ice cream & this is a great way to take it up a notch! Yum! 🙂

  7. I have yet to try banana ice cream. Ice cream is my all time favorite food, so I’m very skeptical of stand ins. However, I keep hearing great things, so I suspect it’s only a matter of time. As for passions, I tend to be interested in a million things all the time (this has led to more “career” changes than I think normal people have in a lifetime), but my degree of interest definitely shifts among them over the years.
