30 Healthy Breakfast Recipes for Christmas Morning

December 19, 2014

There’s no reason you can’t welcome Christmas with a healthful twist! Here are 30 Healthy Breakfast Recipes for Christmas Morning.

Yes, I am well aware that I don’t celebrate Christmas and that technically Christmas morning is like any other morning but you know how I feel about breakfast so you better bet I’ll be going jingle bells crazy on the 25th.

There's no reason you can't welcome Christmas with a healthful twist! Here are 30 Healthy Breakfast Recipes for Christmas Morning. The last couple of years I’ve celebrated Christmas with C’s family in Minnesota and it has been so much fun participating in their traditions and spending time with his amazing extended fam. I’m not sure if Christmas morning breakfast was a big deal to them before I came along but now that I’ve infiltrated, I’ve taken it upon myself to provide the fuel for gift unwrapping.

They’ve been such great sports even though I’ve totally gluten-freed their cinnamon rolls and healthified their pancakes. But I stand by my healthy breakfast choices or at the very least, providing a healthy option for those who might want it/are duped into eating it and had no idea it was healthy!

Luckily, I’m not the only one who feels this way. My fellow food bloggers have come up with some incredible holiday breakfast options that just might overshadow your presents. I’ve gone through and rounded up 30 of the best healthy breakfast recipes for Christmas morning from this elite group of bloggers and snuck in a few THM recipes along the way. All recipes are gluten-free and refined sugar-free. I’ve got some vegan and paleo options thrown in there too. Enjoy!

Haha, Nope. I can’t say it’s too healthy around here. We usually do Southern style biscuits, eggs, bacon, and sometimes gravy. Mmmmm, my favorite!!

These all look so good! Our Christmas mornings are usually so chaotic getting to several stops that breakfast isn’t really a big thing. I do love making a nice breakfast casserole or fritatta the day after though!

Oh my goodness, I want all of this, all the time. I love breakfast but unfortunately I have yet to host Christmas morning so I don’t have much of a choice in the pickings. Saving this for all the breakfasts at home!

My family usually goes the typical cinnamon roll route for Christmas…I don’t usually health it up but your Banana Fosters rolls look wonderful so I may need to make that happen 🙂

My heart lies in this post right here, because my heart belongs to breakfast.
I think I made some sort of French toast bake on Christmas morning last year, but we’ll actually be on the road this year, so overnight oats will be the way to go! But don’t worry, I’m gonna be making so many more of these delicious breakfasts throughout the holidays 🙂

Breakfast used to not be healthy (egg casserole, biscuits, etc) but now it’s pretty light. I’m actually thinking about doing crab or something instead of actual Christmas dinner since I’m cooking this year, too…
