An easy miso salmon recipe broiled to perfection in a simple honey miso glaze. This miso salmon recipe makes for an easy weeknight dinner paired with healthy, delicious sides!

  • 4 x 4 oz salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp white or red miso paste
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari or coconut aminos)
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar (or mirin)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

  1. Line a baking dish with aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry with a piece of paper towel and place skin side down on aluminum foil.
  3. In a small bowl whisk together miso, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and honey.
  4. Using a spoon or basting brush spread half of marinade mixture over salmon fillets. Allow to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes. Alternatively cover baking dish and remaining marinade and let sit in the fridge for up to 12 hours.
  5. Set oven to broil.
  6. Broil salmon for 5-7 minutes or until slightly crispy but pink on the inside. Time will depend on thickness of salmon so watch carefully.
  7. Pour remaining glaze on salmon immediately after removing from the oven.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately (or see storage instructions above).
