Maple Chipotle Sweet Potatoes

These sweet and savory Maple Chipotle Sweet Potatoes are your next dinner staple! They’re tossed in olive oil and real maple syrup, sprinkled with spices, and baked on high heat until crispy and caramelized.


  • 2 med-large sweet potatoes, cut into wedges (see above for instructions)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp chipotle chili powder (or any chili powder works)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper pepper
  • optional: sprinkling of chili peppers


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Place chopped sweet potatoes into a large bowl and top with olive oil and maple syrup. Stir to coat.
  3. In a small bowl combine spices.
  4. Top sweet potatoes with spices and stir until well coated.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat and place wedges on top. Make sure you don’t overcrowd (use two sheets if necessary).
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and flip each wedge.
  8. Bake for 10 more minutes or until level of crispness is reached.
  9. Serve warm.
