Get the best of your favorite Mexican restaurant with this restaurant style salsa recipe. Made with simple ingredients and ready in minutes, this restaurant salsa pairs perfectly with homemade tortilla chips and spicy margaritas!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 small red onion
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1 jalapeno, destemmed and seeds removed (if desired)
  • 1 large handful cilantro (roughly 1 cup)
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • optional: 1/4 tsp cumin + 1/4 tsp coriander, splash of olive oil*

Instructions

  1. Add all your ingredients to a blender or food processor.
  2. Pulse around 10 times or  until desired consistency is reached – do not over-process.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  4. Don’t forget to serve with tortilla chips! Try making a homemade version.

*my preference is coriander and olive oil for a richer salsa
