what you need:
step one
Place hemp hearts in a medium skillet over medium-high heat and lightly toast. Remove from the heat once they are a dark brown color. Set aside.
step two
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, garlic, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice and zest. Process until combined. Add in the salt, pepper, cumin and hemp heart. Process until smooth.
step three
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
