This Pomegranate Champagne Martini makes the perfect celebratory cocktail for your next party. It’s sweetened with a touch of honey and pomegranate juice for a healthier drink recipe.
Among all of my somewhat alternative thoughts on health, I truly and honestly believe that a nightcap is the way to a long and happy-filled life.
It’s not secret that I love love love wine. Admittedly, I’m a sucker for a good glass of red but in times of celebration you better bet I’m whipping out the champagne.
I’m usually so boring when it comes to drinks and will just drink whatever bottle we have open, but with the holidays just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to put a healthier twist on a cocktail recipe.
Now you can rest easy knowing you can and should indulge over the holidays. Ain’t no reason you can’t get a little boozy! Let’s do this…
They’re sweetened with a touch of honey, pomegranate juice and the fizziness of the champagne masks the vodka (because the taste of vodka bring back traumatizing memories of smirnoff from the high school days…)
This recipe makes enough for two, but only because I was alone on a Tuesday and it felt inappropriate to have more than two in the middle of the day. But a few math calculations will help you tailor it to a crowd.
Speaking of crowd, I’m thinking this cocktail would be perfect for New Years. A few years ago I was told that adding pomegranate to your New Years champagne was good luck! I don’t know if this is true or not but my superstitious self will take all of the luck I can get.
So cheers to an epic 2015 of delicious, healthy recipe round-ups with these wonderful ladies and to all of YOU who bring me so much joy when you make them. Now chug. Kidding. Not really.
