If you haven’t noticed it by now, I have major issues staying in one place. Over the past few months I have covered 2 countries, 5 states, 8 cities/towns and taken countless trains, planes, boats and cars. And with trips booked for a year from now I’m not so sure I’ll be slowing down anytime soon.
I love to travel and explore and get serious cabin fever when stuck inside but I also think that travelling makes you really appreciate the comforts of home. This was the case when I found myself with a rare Saturday night at home last weekend. How did I choose to spend my time? By entering my favourite black hole aka Pinterest.
I LOVE Pinterest but it is also a major time suck. I use it enough for business purposes that I rarely have the time to just spend hours browsing at things that have nothing to do with THM. So a night full of Pinterest adventures just for pleasure is a real treat for me (wow that made my life sound so sad…).
Besides pinning a million and one recipes I will probably never make and hairstyles that will never cooperate with my afro, I also came to the conclusion that Pinterest is undergoing a very serious existential crisis. I can’t blame it, September can be a very confusing time of the year. Everyone is prepping for their cute cardigans and scarves while whipping up all things pumpkin when outside it is blazing hot.
I too seem to be undergoing a quarter life crisis. Should I be buying berries or squash at the farmer’s market? Let’s get real, I bought both. Although it will likely be winter here by next week so I think all of my seasonal questions will be cleared up quite quickly.
Nevertheless, Pinterest got me all worked up over whether it was still appropriate to post a smoothie. The thermometer told me yes, but Starbucks told me no (seriously an AUGUST release of the PSLs?!?!) and Pinterest just made me even more confused.
Well, I’m gonna take a chance on this one and hope that you guys love this Vanilla Mango Smoothie despite what all the pumpkin sweater-wearing naysayers might tell you. Alternatively, I could just start exclusively posting pumpkin smoothies? Now there’s an idea…
