This vanilla mango smoothie is high in vitamins and minerals that will help you boost your immune system and help your digestion! Bonus points: it’s absolutely delicious.

I go in phases when it comes to smoothies. There are weeks (even months!) that I enjoy a smoothie every single day and then I’ll go for months without eating any smoothies. I love them in the summer because they’re cool and refreshing but I also love them when it’s cool and gloomy out and I need a little sunshine in my life! This vanilla mango smoothie is perfect for year round – the mango is bright and refreshing while the vanilla makes it feel like a cozy, comforting meal. Enjoy!

Here’s What You Need:

  • mango
  • banana
  • unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • vanilla extract
  • vanilla protein powder – optional but I recommend adding protein powder to keep you fuller longer.

Fresh or Frozen Mango

I used frozen mango for this smoothie for two reasons: it makes the smoothie icy cold and it’s easy to keep frozen mango on hand! Having said that, you can absolutely use fresh mango if you have that on hand or it’s in season and you want to use fresh. I personally think fresh mango is much more flavorful so it makes this smoothie extra delicious!

Health Benefits of Mango

Mangos are packed with vitamins and minerals – especially vitamin C which helps boost immunity. It also has a ton of antioxidants and digestive enzymes. So if you have digestive issues or feel a cold coming on, this is a a great smoothie to add into the rotation.

  1. Oh.my.gosh. Don’t get me started on the seasonal thing. It’s too much. It’s 90+ degrees and people want me to buy scarves and boots and eat pumpkin. No thank you. I’m going to boycott all things fall under the weather cools down.

  2. i’m not a pinterest addict, but my aunt definitely is. i knew she was having a harry potter themed bday party for my cousin about 4 months in advance.

    smoothies are good.
    mango is good.
    you are cool.
    (& so are smoothies)

that’s a poem.^^ written esp for you my dear

  3. I’ve totally become a Pinterest addict, especially since J proposed and we started planning the wedding. I’ve pinned ALL the wedding dresses.
I felt the same about posting a smoothie recipe the other day. Techincally the end of summer isn’t until September 21, so I think that gives free reign for something a bit longer. Tbh I eat smoothies all year round.

  4. SO true that September is such a funny time of year– should I be buying sweaters or sundresses?! Pumpkin or strawberries?! Naturally I stocked up on berries at the farmer’s market last weekend like they were going out of style (because they pretty much are…) and have been eating them this week like there’s no tomorrow. But I have actually been dreaming about pumpkin, so I think it’s about time to begin stocking up on that as well. No matter what I am always a fan of vanilla + mango! So tropical! And teach me your food photog ways… SF studio style, please!

  5. On one hand I’m super sad about summer ending and on the other I’m beyond pumped for pumpkin and apple picking and scarves and all that jazz. I think I could even handle whipping out my combat boots right about now. The smoothie looks BOMB.

  6. You’re fine on posting a smoothie! In fact, I posted a smoothie recipe today.
I drink smoothie year round. Living in Arizona, it’s never cold like the kind of cold you get. You want to talk confusing. It’s STILL 110 degrees here and we’re all dying for cooler weather so we can wear a sleeveless sweater dress with flip flops.
Love your food chart by the way!

  7. I’m ready for fall but not cold weather!!!
I go in spurts with Pinterest – I pin stuff almost every day but it is rare for me to actually head over to the site and browse around on it!!

  8. I am loving mango in smoothies and this looks delicious.
I am so ready for the new season though.

  9. Definitely ready for fall! The leaves are already starting to change around here, so I’m trying to appreciate it before they all fall off in like… 3 weeks. That being said, I have no problem wit drinking smoothies even in the dead of winter. As long as it’s by the fireplace 😉

  10. Where there is heat, there is need for cold smoothies! It hasn’t yet started to cool off here for me, so this looks pretty refreshing 🙂
