Need a last minute Christmas dessert? Whip up a platter of this Chocolate-Drizzled Christmas Fruit! Just 3 ingredients necessary to a healthy and easy dessert recipe for Christmas!
Can I be real with you guys? Sometimes I feel bad about posting certain recipes. I know you’re always asking for easier recipes, but green and red fruit + drizzled chocolate doesn’t feel particularly innovative.
Jess was over helping me when we were shooting these (btw I feel like I owe the blogging gods a sacrificial lamb in return for sending me Jess!) and she assured me that it wasn’t a total cop-out. It may only require 3 ingredients, but there are so many of you out there who WANT recipes this easy, that are healthy and can be made in minutes. Just because I like to torture myself in the kitchen, doesn’t mean you should have to.
And especially not during Christmas time when priorities should be on spending time with loved ones, not slaving away trying to feed them.
Granted, grapes aren’t NOT in season but the fact that they cost $12 a bag either means they are never in season or I clearly live in the wrong place. That hasn’t seemed to have had any effect on their size though, as I’m pretty sure they’ve doubled in shape over the course of my lifetime.
For such a simple recipe, I’ve managed to discover a boat load of internal struggles. Therapy is going to be fun this month…
One of the biggest lessons blogging has taught me about life is that you can’t always win. You’re not going to have gorgeous, local fruit all-year-round, just like my recipes will always be too simple or too complicated from reader to reader. At the end of the day, you just gotta do the best you can.
And if showing up with a platter full of these Chocolate-Drizzled Christmas Fruit Skewers (aka strawberries and green grapes) is the best you can do, then life clearly ain’t so bad.
I’ll take it!Print

Thoughts on super-easy “recipes” like this? Do you eat 100% local? I’m jealous…
