I’ve been revamping some of my favorite recipes from back in the day because I realized I have so many delicious recipes that likely don’t get the time of day because the pictures aren’t too pretty. No shame in eating with your eyes! We all do it.

I recently remade one of my favorite dessert recipes: Raw Oreo Cookies. They blew my mind that they could be gluten-free and vegan but still unbelievably delicious. But what’s better than homemade Oreo cookies? Cookies and cream “ice cream” made with homemade Oreo cookies.

Banana Soft Serve

This frozen treat has so many names for it… banana soft serve, banana ice cream, n’ice cream… the list probably goes on. Here’s the deal: it’s dairy-free and vegan yet creamy and so refreshing! Here’s what you need:

  • Frozen bananas
  • Unsweetened almond milk

Yep, that’s it! 2-ingredient ice cream! Let your bananas ripen before peeling and freezing them. I personally like to slice prior to freezing so they blend up quicker. Make sure the bananas are completely frozen (I usually freeze mine overnight) and then blend with almond milk in a high powered blender or food processor.

Cookies ‘n’ Cream

You can enjoy banana ice cream on it’s own or you can mix in countless flavors to take this frozen dessert to the next level. I am an Oreo lover so naturally I made a healthy version and mixed them into banana ice cream for my version of cookies and cream ice cream. Simply chop up the cookies and mix into the ice cream after the bananas have been blended together.

  3. Dairy free soft serve – with chocolate cookies…ooh yeah – perfect start to the weekend! 🙂

  4. Rereading old posts is always such a trip! A combination a watching a train wreck and laughing hysterically at my former self. Sigh.

Love this soft serve flavor! Cookies and cream makes life better.

  5. I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE TERRIBLE DRINK YOU TOLD ARMAN ABOUT. I’M WRITING IN CAPS RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I WAS JUST OVER AT HIS BLOG YELLING & RANTING AND I THOUGHT I’D CONTINUE IN YOUR COMMENT SECTION.

    HAHAHAHA.

I HAVEN’T MADE BANANA SOFT SERVE IN AGES AND NOW IT’S GOING TO BE ALL I THINK ABOUT TODAY. OREOS. <3

  6. I just got a ton of bananas (for 8¢/ pound!), So I might just try this!

  7. YUM! This looks so good. I threw an ice cream party last night and now I have lots of crushed cookies leftover, so this needs to happen in my near future!

  8. I will randomly end up reading old posts too which makes me laugh and also reminds me of things I totally forgot about or posts were revisiting/reposting. So many get lost in the shuffle. I love making banana ice cream even though it isn’t ice cream, somehow it can taste like ice cream.

  9. This looks absolutely amazing….even if it is sans cream. I’m still a little stomach ache’d over that terrible drink you told me about today. Seriously.

But legit this looks delicious and I think you need to make this travel + food….with one certain place in mind.

PS the crossing of the legs worked. Zing.
