I’ve been revamping some of my favorite recipes from back in the day because I realized I have so many delicious recipes that likely don’t get the time of day because the pictures aren’t too pretty. No shame in eating with your eyes! We all do it.

I recently remade one of my favorite dessert recipes: Raw Oreo Cookies. They blew my mind that they could be gluten-free and vegan but still unbelievably delicious. But what’s better than homemade Oreo cookies? Cookies and cream “ice cream” made with homemade Oreo cookies.

Banana Soft Serve

This frozen treat has so many names for it… banana soft serve, banana ice cream, n’ice cream… the list probably goes on. Here’s the deal: it’s dairy-free and vegan yet creamy and so refreshing! Here’s what you need:

  • Frozen bananas
  • Unsweetened almond milk

Yep, that’s it! 2-ingredient ice cream! Let your bananas ripen before peeling and freezing them. I personally like to slice prior to freezing so they blend up quicker. Make sure the bananas are completely frozen (I usually freeze mine overnight) and then blend with almond milk in a high powered blender or food processor.

Cookies ‘n’ Cream

You can enjoy banana ice cream on it’s own or you can mix in countless flavors to take this frozen dessert to the next level. I am an Oreo lover so naturally I made a healthy version and mixed them into banana ice cream for my version of cookies and cream ice cream. Simply chop up the cookies and mix into the ice cream after the bananas have been blended together.

  1. If you’re going to Western Canada, you’re taking me with you!! I think you may have been to more states than me, also… wait I’m going to count (27, you have me beat – 30 if we include airports haha). Drunk biking is soooo hard, did I ever tell you about drunk biking in Napa? When we’re both living on the west coast (best coast) we’ll go biking drunk through napa/williamette/columbia/sonoma.

My interests have definitely changed, especially since I started this blog. I realized I don’t want to talk about clothes. I don’t want to back stalk myself, I would be too embarrassed haha.

  2. i wish it was hot enough here to justify having ice cream.. definitely craving a scoop right now!

  3. Cookies & Cream is my FAVORITE flavor in the whole wide world (besides cake batter & red velvet) so I am going to make this asap. Genius 🙂

  4. Arman won today but that might have been a) because the bananas in my freezer were frostbitten and b) I’m lazy in the morning so making my own raw Oreos? I’d have chewed my arm off before those would have come into existence. Send me the cookies and I’ll post this as my breakfast/ lunch/ dinner and snack in my next WIAW 😉 ?! Cookies & cream for the win.

  5. I just happen to have 2 bananas in the freezer, you know in case I need to live dangerously! This soft serve is ON. I heard amazing things about banana soft serve, can’t wait to try!

  6. I’m legit afraid to read my early posts. I’m all for walks down memory lane, but I think like there would be a lot of “WTF?” with mine. And travel – I really need to do more of that!

  7. I want to say something extremely X RATED right now, but I REALLY REALLY shouldn’t…. If your brain functions ANYTHING like mine, you will know what I am thinking 😉

  8. I mean, this is basically perfection.
I actually took a trip down memory lane on my blog when I was in Florida, and it’s true— my focus and priorities in life have shifted quite a bit, in a good way. Except, now I kinda want to find that drunk biking post. Not because I want to do that. Really.

  9. I made banana ice cream last night because I was craving froyo which is a no go since I was forced to cut out dairy. Wish I had made the cookies too cuz it looks delicious 😀
Also, I totally get what you mean about changing passions. I feel the same about my fitness posts on my blog. I love working out and being active but writing about it? Not so much.
I’m actually considering a name change more than ever now because I was all about fitness when I chose this name. But I also feel like ‘ExSloth’ is part of me. Decisions, decisions…

    1. great alternative to dairy! Oh man the number of times I have thought about throw the “un”healthy maven in there is too high I can’t even count. I think it’s okay for you to change and unless your blog name REALLY doesn’t reflect this change then you should be good 😉

  10. So freaking simple–I love it. You’ve also been to way more states than I have so… Davs-1 Erin-0
