It’s been a great couple of weeks and even better, I’m totally set for my holiday gifts this year (sorry for ruining the surprise friends!). Lee and I have had so much fun coming up with creative and seasonal recipes for you to gift in a jar. Truthfully, it was also kind of a relief to start using up the insane amount of mason jars I have on hand.

Only 10 days until Christmas, so I’ll stop blabbing and instead recap the glory that was the DIY Holiday Gifts In a Jar series!

  1. I admit that I LOVE them all and have no idea where to start. Must. make. all. the. delicious. things. in. jars!
Great gifts ideas for my daughters and I to work on next week when school is out. Thanks!

  2. The Gingerbread Body Scrub sounds amazing…but so do all of these! High-Fives to your awesome creativity! XOXO

  3. I think the candles was my favorite! I burn through candles really quickly, and they aren’t cheap!

  4. Great ideas 🙂 I love giving homemade gifts — so much love goes into making them! Thanks Davita!

  5. Bestest gifts everrrr. I remember when I was little my mom would get so many cookie jar gifts from her dance students and I was so pumped about them! Oddly enough I have not made my own before… That might change this week since I’ve barely done any shopping (nor do I really WANT to) and have basically only made nut butter for people. HA. Food > material objects 😉

    1. Food FTW always. I’ll take some of that Bundt Cake since I know you’re really struggling with my Xmas gift 😉

  6. This was such a fun & creative round-up! I definitely plan on gifting a few of them to my friends and saving some for me!

      1. Hello Davida,
I love your idea about gifts from a jar and I put together the Moroccan Soup mix in a jar. Am I the only one who was unable to fit all the ingredients into a 16 oz. jar. I don’t know what I did wrong, but I thought I followed the recipe exactly — and I was unable to fit in the last 3/4 cup of lentils… I’m having to tie on a baggie with the remainder 3/4 lentils, which is not the worst thing to do, but it would have been nice if everything would have fit into the 16 oz. jar… For the cookie mix, I bought 12 oz. jars and wasn’t able to put all the ingredients into that size jar either… please advise what I am doing wrong, other than purchasing the wrong size jars… I’ve never made Gifts from a Jar before, so obviously I need a little help… LOL Thanks very much.

        1. That is so odd Barbara! You divided the ingredients between two 16 ounce mason jars yes? I can’t imagine what the problem would be unless your lentils happen to be very large. Did you use organic lentils? Mine were organic and likely smaller so perhaps that contributed? I wish I could help you out more!
